| 4th annual conference of ISBMR
was held at PGI Chandigarh from 18-19 Oct 2008. It was a very
educative scientific fair which was served by eminent International
and National faculty. |

| Densitometry,
Calcium and Vitamin D Tests for Senior Citizens of Vasant Kunj,
New Delhi
The ISBMR with the help of Senior Citizens Welfare Association
(SCWA), Vasant Kunj organized the above tests for over 250
Senior Citizens over a period of one month.

(ISBMR) conducted its 3rd National Conference along with the 1st
meeting of South Asian Society For Bone and Mineral Research (SASBMR)
from 28th to 30th September, 2007.

IOF - Asian meet held in Bangkok was attended by
Brig. Satish Kukreja (Retd.), the CEO, ISBMR from 19th and
20th January, 2008.

Dr Ambrish Mithal the President
along with Brig Satish Kukreja , the CEO attending the World
Wide Conference of Patients Societies of Osteoporosis at Miami
, USA organized under the aegis of IOF from 11th to
14th December, 2007.

IOF World Congress on Osteoporosis,
held in Toronto, Canada between June 2 - 6, 2006 .
The event was represented by Dr. Ambrish Mithal and Dr. Rajesh
Khadgawat.

Indian
Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ISBMR) won the Amgen
Award in November 2005 along with two more societies
for their programme on BONE HEALTH QUIZ.
The Quiz was open to Medical under graduates and those doing
internship.

- Eighth European Congress For Clinical and Economic Aspacts of
Osteoporosis and Osteoarthiritis at Istanbul from 9-12 April 08.
Four members from ISBMR attended the event.
- ISBMR conducted a Bone Densitometery Testing camp at Siri Fort
Auditorium on 8th Mar 2008 on the Women;s Day.
- CME, as follows :
1. 22nd February, 2008 at Spinal Injury Hospital, New Delhi
2. 23rd and 24th February, 2008 at Chennai
3. 27th February, 2008 at Mumbai
Prof.Steve Cummings from USA conducted the sessions at all the
three venues above.
- Executive Committe meeting of ISBMR was held at USI, Rao Tula
Marg on 02nd February, 2008
- Brig. Satish Kukreja (Retd.), the CEO, ISBMR attended the Asian
Meet in Bangkok on 19th and 20th January, 2008.

- IOF Bone Densitometery will be held at Mumbai from 29-30 November,
2008, co-sponsered by ISBMR and SASBMR.
